Lion House Pantry – Salt Lake City Tours

Enjoy a meal in the dining hall of Brigham Young’s mansion, the Lion House, in downtown Salt Lake City. The Pantry restaurant offers home cooking amidst pioneer history, with recipes that have been passed down through generations. Menu changes daily, with prices ranging from $7-13. The Lion House is one of Salt Lake City’s most famous landmarks, built in 1856 by Brigham Young. A stone lion statue sits above the front entrance, it reminded Brigham Young of a similar statue at an affluent home in Vermont that he’d seen in his youth. Known as the “Lion of the Lord,” Brigham Young was the prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and known for his tenacity and power of speech.

Visit the Lion House for lunch on the Salt Lake City Tour or dinner on the Thursday Mormon Tabernacle Choir Tour. Book online at https://toursofutah.com/tours/
