Pioneer Log Home – Salt Lake City Tours

One of the fun things to do in Salt Lake City for tourists is to visit the old pioneer building and homes. This original pioneer log home was built in 1847, the year the Mormons first arrived in the Salt Lake Valley. Occupied by a blacksmith named Osmyn, his wife, Mary Deuel, and Osmyn’s brother. The pioneer log home is 15 feet wide and 20 feet long, made of Douglas fir and lodgepole pine from the mountains east of Salt Lake City. It is one of only two surviving log homes from 1847. Join us on the Salt Lake City Tour or the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Tour to see more pioneer buildings and hear their fascinating stories. Reserve your seats on the sightseeing tour bus at http://toursofutah.com/salt-lake-city-tour/
